Sauvignon Blanc

The source of this wine is the 2 acres of Sauvignon Blanc vines that sit in the North Valley of the property.  This is the coldest area and can experience experience nighttime Summer temperatures in the mid 30’s due to the incoming marine layer. The soil is a river bottom soil atop limestone boulders about 4 feet below the surface.

2017 Tasting Notes

A brilliant, pale yellow/straw with a hint of green in the rim, this is very expressive, sensual wine. Layers of grapefruit, citrus, green apple and cantaloupe dance with butterscotch and hints of caramel. A touch of oak yields a delicate viscosity with ample fruit in an acid-driven, clean finish.
