Pinot Noir

Pinot Noir

The 4 acres of Pinot Noir share the North Valley with the Sauvignon Blanc.  Pinot Noir is a delicate grape and wine and although it can fair well in the cold it is prone to early bud break.  As a result, we installed a micro-emitter frost protection system in this entire area to decrease the risk of freezing and loss of some or all of a vintage.

2016 Tasting Notes

A rich ruby/garnet, this wine is elegant, graceful, and true to its varietal character. Intriguing aromas of bright red berries, dried flowers, and rose petals flirt with clove, cinnamon, and hints of vanilla. The finish is well-balanced, with bright fruit balancing delicate oak and tannins.
