Liberated from California, Vinted in the Republic of Texas
Our commitment at Grape Creek to the Texas terroir is extensive. We have 17 acres of estate vineyards and we have 150 acres of vines exclusively contracted to Grape Creek in the Texas High Plains, near Brownfield. We are staying the Texas course.
We serendipitously came across this amazing terroir in Paso Robles, California that is now called Heath Vineyards. The specific growing conditions are very unique, even in California, and nothing like it exists anywhere in Texas. We felt bad for the grapes being raised in California so we are rescuing them to Texas!
We carefully oversee the vineyard management and at harvest we immediately crush the grapes in the area. Our accomplished winemaker, Jason Englert, provides the protocol for crush and initial fermentation which is performed by a nearby winery. Once the initial process is concluded (usually 30-45 days) the wine is sent to us at Grape Creek to conclude secondary fermentation and fine, cellar, blend and bottle the Heath Vineyards wines.
We think you will love the final product!
